Year 6 – Owls and Eagles

Welcome to Year 6
The final year of primary school offers our children many ways in which to develop their independence ready for secondary school. These opportunities include becoming a buddy to a reception child, a house captain or leading lunch time clubs. Our residential trip and end of year production are highlights of the year and offer children a chance to shine outside of the classroom.
We have two Year 6 classes:
Eagles – taught by Miss Abraham
Owls – taught by Mrs Dobson
Mr. Pauley and Mrs. Kent cover PPA time on Thursday mornings. We are also very lucky to have Mrs McFarlane teaching French on a Friday afternoon.
Throughout the year, we will explore a range of exciting topics, including World War Two in history, light and electricity in science and we will be sewing our own bags in textiles.

Useful Information:

PE days: Wednesdays and Thursdays
Homework: Set on Fridays – due in on Wednesdays
Please see our termly overviews below for more information about your child’s learning.
